SOCIAL MEDIA CHECK LIST
Social media is the easiest way to get in front of a wide range of potential clients. There are so many options when it comes to social media, but the basic requirements are basically the same across the board. If you are already taking advantage of social media this can be used as a refresher to make sure you’re checking all the boxes and if you are new to social media this is a great starting point to hit the ground running. And with that, here’s a quick check list of everything your social media needs.
1. NAME
Your name and/or your business name! This one feels obvious, but it’s surprising how many pages I’ll visit and I can see what the page is about but I don’t know the name and it is not clearly stated. Get your name on your page and in your user name!
2. BIO
This one is important because it’s the first impression to your social media. When considering what to put in your bio there are a few must haves. You must have a short description of what you do or what your page is about, you must have where you are located, and you must have any additional links or websites.
3. PICTURE
It’s proven that the most successful social media pages have a face to them! If you prefer your profile picture be your logo or business name (we actually recommend this) then consider posting a picture of yourself with a possible introduction. Personal touches are nice!
4. CONTACT INFO
If your potential clients have to try too hard to figure out how to contact you it’s possible they will just move on. A lot of social media platforms have “business” options that make adding your contact information easy. If you don’t answer your email, don’t advertise your email— add your preferred way of communication directly on your page.
