10 must-do’s for a refreshing 2022
There’s a lot of hustle and bustle that surrounds a new year. While I am all about setting goals and starting out strong, I think it’s important to “refresh and restart” to avoid burnout. We’re all about avoiding burnout while setting ourselves up for success this year.
1. Identify stressors
Isn’t step one always to “identify” first? If you know where your stress is coming from it makes it easier to find a solution.
2. Sleep
Getting enough sleep is crucial to just about everything. If you are feeling burnout creeping up, this is the first thing I’d evaluate. The best way to feel refreshed!
3. Socialize & Connect
If you are feeling like you’re spread too thin it might sound contradictory to add socializing to the list but sometimes it can be “just what you needed.” This is especially true if work is what is weighing you down.
4. Water
Like getting enough sleep, drinking enough water is the answer to just about everything. It’s so important to take care of our exhausted bodies.
5. Unplug & Disconnect
Unplugging and stepping away from all things social media and communication is so helpful when avoiding burnout but also makes for a great New Years resolution. It can be tricky to find a balance from being on our phones too much and still working the online side of our business, but it is important for our wellness.
6. FUN
Don’t forget about you! Take time for fun, for rest, or even just free time. It’s great to clear our mind before hitting the ground running again.
7. Self Care
Listen to your body! Whatever it is you have to take the time to take care of yourself or you’ll never be able to take care of your business.
8. Education
A sure fire way to find motivation during a lull is to dive into education! Technique related, business related, social media related, any education can get you feeling refreshed again.
9. Unrelated Hobby
If you’ve ever felt like you can’t look at another eyelash again or deal with all the things a business deals with its time to add a new hobby to the list. Find something fun to come home to or something that you can do to decompress.
10. Ask for Help
This can be tough for people, but it can ease a lot of stress. If you frequently feel like you don’t have enough time or there’s things you never get to it might be time to ask for help. You can ask for help in your business or personal life to give you more time to focus.
