The Pre-Appointment
Being prepared before an appointment can make or break how the rest of the appointment goes. I know I work more efficiently if I’ve gotten all the pre-stressors out of the way. Included in the pre-appointment is making sure everything is cleaned. Cleanliness is is absolutely necessary!
Here’s a few quick tips and reminders to consider when prepping for an appointment:
Keep your environment clean! Wash your bedding regularly and keep all hard surfaces clean. Maintains a cleaning routine ensures that your environment is always clean.
Always use new disposables such as, gel pads, mascara wands, micro-swabs, tape, paper towels, etc.
A good tip is to have at least two sets of tweezers so you can properly sanitize your tools in between appointments.
Save time by setting up! Before each appointment I set out gel pads,micro-swabs, a lint free pad to wipe my adhesive, and a clean stone with a new piece of tape to hold my adhesive. This allows all of my products to be readily available.
As a part of my prep I make sure I have used the restroom, filled my water bottle, and washed my hands again so I am ready when the client arrives.
Figuring out your pre-appointment routine will set your day up for success! What else do you like to do when prepping for clients?
