TILE TIPS: ROUND 2
Long gone are the days of loose lashes because it’s all about the lash tile. We’ve gone over tile tips in a previous post but there’s even more ways to have the most efficient lash tile system so we’re back with round 2!
Keep the Empty Strips
If you are working with a specific length and you use all the lashes, before you rush to toss the strip consider leaving it on temporarily. But why? If you lash on the strip you can use the empty strip for its stickiness! This is a great tip for when you have multiple brand new strips on your tile with no fanning room, your transitioning sizes and you don’t need an immediate replacement, or you have space on your tile to place the new strip above or below the empty strip.
Talk to you Client
If you place your lash tile next to your clients head then you have probably experienced that stomach dropping feeling when your client suddenly moves risking getting adhesive where it shouldn’t be. You can eliminate the risk by giving your clients a heads up that your lash tile and adhesive is on the left or right of their head.
Customize to your Needs
The beauty of the lash tile is you can make it work for you. There’s no rules about mixing lengths, curls, or diameters. If you frequently do hybrid lashes consider adding volume and classic lashes to one tile, or mixing curls if you mix them on the client. You can even keep empty tiles available to completely customize your tile to the client.
Keep it Residue Free
If you haven’t tried our lash trays than you are missing out on foil backed strips that peel off easy and leave no residue. However, I have a hack if your lash strips are leaving residue. Try using a piece of clear tape such as shipping tape or scotch tape on your tile first and lay your lash strip on top! It allows the strip to come off clean.
Proper Storage
Our lash tiles are important so we need to handle them with care. Keep them stored flat and away from anything that can smash them. Our lash tile tower is perfect for safe keeping all of our different tiles.
