1. More Clients

It’s simple math—more clients equals more income. Even one reoccurring client can appear on your schedule 2-3 times a month. Getting new clients can be easier said than done but if more clients is your goal then keep at it. Put yourself out there, have a social media presence, and offer promotions. 

2. Shorter Appointments

Time is money and although shorter appointment times do not directly equal more money it does allow you to have more room in your schedule for more appointments and it does increase your “hourly” wage. Working on an appropriate speed and getting clients in and out while still producing quality work will correlate to making more money! Shaving even 15 minutes off every client saves you an hour every 4 clients! 

3. Raise Prices

One of the most obvious solutions to making more money is to raise your prices. This is especially important if your schedule does not allow for new clients and if your speed is maxed out. If you are 80% booked it is time for a raise! A price increase does not have to shock your clients— if you have 30 appointments a month even a $5.00 price increase is an extra $150.00 a month without working more.  

4. Cut Costs 

If you are not considering the bottom line then your income is not your income. Our expenses must be considered when talking income. If you want to make more money aka keep more money then cut your costs where you can. Are you utilizing product deals? Are you renting space or time that you’re not using? Are you carrying product that doesn’t get used?

5. Invest in Yourself 

Investing in yourself can mean investing in education, investing in your lash space, or investing in products and tools that are going to reflect in your work. It can mean investing in personal growth, self care, child care, a gym membership, etc. This is not going to be instant gratification when it comes to making more money but it can help guide you in the right direction and set you up for success. You are worth the raise.
