5 WAYS TO SAVE TIME OUTSIDE OF LASHING
We know that time is money—Saving time and shortening appointments opens the potential for more clients and more money. However, it is not always as simple as just lashing faster. If you’re still fine tuning your skills or you feel like you can’t increase your speed without decreasing your quality then consider these 5 ways to save time outside of lashing!
Consult Before
Consultations, especially full set consultations, take up time that could be spent lashing. Consultations are important and should not be skipped, however if you can do the bulk of the consultation before the appointment you will be more prepared and save time. With so much access to communication now, this is a lot easier. Give your client their options beforehand, have the client send pictures of their face as well as any inspiration photos, and ask any necessary questions prior to their appointment. These simple tasks will make any remaining in-person consulting quick and easy, allowing you to get right into lashing.
Virtual Policies & Consent Forms
Along with consulting over the phone or online, sending out your policies and forms virtually will allow your clients to get all the information they need before ever coming to their appointment. Clients prefer this because they can throughly read through any forms before signing and it saves appointment time!
Clear Client Expectations
If you’re catching on, anything you can get out of the way before the appointment is going to save you time. This includes washing and prepping the lashes! Set clear expectations and communicate to your clients how you want them to show up. This can include no makeup and cleansed lashes.
Preschedule + Online Booking
Rebooking clients after their appointment takes up time that could be spent going right into the next appointment. There’s a few ways to eliminate this step during appointment time— Use online booking so your clients are scheduling during their time and not yours or communicate with your clients outside of their appointment to pre book. Scheduling more than one appointment at a time also saves going over schedules.
Keep a Card on File
Accepting payment doesn’t take a lot of time, but client after client, that time can add up! If you can save cards on file then you are able to process payments quicker. If your clients prefer not to have a card on file, make sure you communicate with your clients your accepted payment methods to avoid any delays. If you do take a card in person make sure you have the right devices to avoid manually entering numbers and if you accept cash, request exact change only to save a little bit more time.
