FOR THE CLIENT: GETTING THE MOST OUT OF YOUR APPOINTMENT
As lash artists, we can do our best every single appointment but to really get the most out of each appointment it is a two way street between the artist and the client! There’s a few things we can teach our clients that will maximize their appointment.
Be on Time
This a more of a necessity than a bonus, but every minute counts when it comes to eyelashes. If my client is late I do not work into my next appointment—that is time lost.
2. Cleansing
Of course we teach our clients the best aftercare routine to keep their lashes in the best shape as possible but it’s also important to have your clients come with lashes already clean. Don’t use appointment time to cleanse your lashes!
3. Skip the Caffeine
This is a small but mighty tip! Caffeine can make eyelids jittery so if clients can hold out until after their appointment it will make lashing easier.
4. Avoid Eye Makeup and Moisturizer
On appointment days recommend they skip the eye makeup OR have it washed off completely before hand. I also prefer an un-moisturized face near the under eyes to allow the pads and tape to stick.
5. Visit the Restroom Before
It’s not impossible to take a bathroom break during the appointment, but it is time lost! Make it a habit to visit the restroom before lying down.
6. Don’t Chew Gum or
No gum, mints, or any chewing! A moving face is like a moving target and it is difficult to lash. It’s the little things that really do translate into a successful appointment.
7. Shower & Wash Hair
This tip can also be applied to getting the most out of your lashes in general. If your clients are able to shower and wash their hair before the appointment then they can successfully go the 24 hours without getting your new lashes wet. I
8. Communicate
Communication is key in all things! Express to your clients that you appreciate any communication prior to the appointment or right at the beginning. This is in regards to things such as switching lash styles, poor retention, or any changes.
