How to: Price your services

Pricing can be scary and confusing, but we are here with some tips to help! Below is a list of helpful tips to get started, but most importantly believe in yourself! Know your worth! You have invested in education and products so price accordingly.

Know the average costs of lashes in your area.Price the services according to the worth of your time.Charge 40% more for volume extensions than classic extensions.Determine and break down your expenses.

Deciding on how to set fill prices is personal preference  but know that there are options. You can charge by how many weeks your client has gone between fills, you can charge by how much time you set for the appointment, you can determine the price by the percentage of lashes your client has remaining, or you can charge per lash that you add.  However you determine your prices make sure your clients understand the guidelines.  It is a good idea to have your prices posted or communicated clearly.

Pulling from personal experience, I learned early on not to price around tipping. When I originally set my prices I was timid and charged less in order to leave the client room for tipping. This set me up for disappointment when clients didn’t tip or they didn’t tip enough to meet my expectations. Now I have my prices set to what my time is worth and if clients choose to tip then it is just that, a tip.
