GET TO KNOW YOUR LASH FANS
Volume fans are not a one size fits all, standard sizing, every fan looks the same kind of thing. Fans are customizable and different fans create different looks. Get to know the differences in volume fans, how to get different results with different fans, and when to use each type of volume fan.
Tight
Tight fans also referred to as narrow fans are exactly that—narrow. There is less spacing between each lash in a tight fan and the base of the fan is longer. Tight fans have good direction, can be used to create “piecy” sets, and result in lots of density. Tight fans are great on clients that have a full natural lash line.
Wide
Wide fans are the standard fan, easy to make symmetrical, have more spacing between lashes, have and a shorter base than a tight fan. Wide fans can still have good direction but they produce a fluffier set while still giving structure. Wide fans are versatile, great for blending, and can create natural or dramatic looks.
Super Wide
Super wide fans have the most space between each lash with a short base. Super wide fans lack structure and direction but create very fluffy and wispy sets. Super wide fans are best for filling wide spaces, thinner lashes lines, or covering gaps.
