WHY YOUR SETS MAY BE LOOKING UNFINISHED

Sometimes you put in the time and the work, but there’s just something holding back your sets from looking finished—like a lash out of place or too many grown out lashes. If you’ve ever felt like your sets are missing a finishing touch, you might just be doing one of these few things.

Skipping the Final Brush Through

It is truly a disservice to the lashes to skip brushing at the end of the appointment. While isolating, the lashes can become separated and parted—or while using tape to manipulate the lash line, the lashes can become incorrectly positioned. While just temporary, your client will see “messy” instead of finished. You should be able to easily brush through the lashes and put everything back in their right place.

Not Removing Grown Out Lashes

When clients return for fills, they will have grown out lashes that need to be removed. Grown out lashes can appear too lengthy in comparison to the rest of the eyelashes or be misdirected because of weight distribution. Skipping the removal of grown out lashes can leave your sets looking like they already need a fill. Clean and finished sets means removing grown out lashes!

Skimping on the Corners

My biggest tip to making your sets a home run is not skimping the inner and outer corners. Really focus on lashing those tricky spots, using short lengths on the inside and light weights when needed.  It can feel like they aren’t as important as the bulk of the lash line but spending a little extra time on the corners can elevate your finished set.
