THREE TRUTHS & A LIE: ADHESIVE

Truth: With the exception of pigment, Gold and Crystal adhesives are the same.

One black adhesive and one clear adhesive but same set time, same consistency, same retention! These two adhesives are identical with the exception of he pigment being removed from the crystal. 

Truth: Cyanoacrylate can create an exothermic reaction. 

Never use cotton swabs, paper towels, or Q-tips on the eyelashes because natural fibers mixed with the main ingredient in adhesive—cyanoacrylate, can cause an exothermic reaction. This reaction can cause burns and even smoke. 

Truth: Not all adhesives have equal set time.  

Lash Essential’s adhesive line up has a large range of set times to fit the needs of all artists. From 1 second to 5 seconds there’s an adhesive!

Lie: Unopened adhesive has a shelf life of 4-6 weeks 

Unopened adhesive has a much longer shelf life! However, opened adhesive does have a 4-6 week shelf life depending on the environment and how often the bottle is being used and opened.
