Five Business Do’s

Running a successful lash business is more than just pretty lashes— there’s a lot going on behind the scenes when it comes to running a business. Yes, you! You are a running a business and you should be treating it as such. Set yourself up for success with these five easy “business do’s”

  1. Create a Brand

Creating a brand, a logo, a tag line, etc will help you when it comes to sharing your business. You can use your brand to reach your target audience, to get potential clients familiar with you, and make a name for yourself. When it comes to first creating your brand the most important thing is to be true to yourself and be consistent.

2. Separate Business & Personal

Keeping your personal and business separate is more professional. This applies to your finances, your licensing, and your social media. If you keep everything separate from the start you will save yourself a headache later on.

3.Create Policies

Policies are so so important! It will set your business apart, you will be taken serious as a professional, and they can save you big time in the long run! The best thing you can do for your business is to create policies from the beginning and stick with them.

4. Keep Records + Claim Cash

Wether you are a new business owner or have a long running business keeping records is always necessary. This is a must do from day one! As a service provider it can be tempting to pocket your cash without recording it but when the times comes to “adult” you want your claimed income to be accurate. My advice is to hire someone from the beginning!

5. Set Boundaries

Boundaries are a must do no matter what stage of business you are in! I included boundaries as a “business do” because if you have clear boundaries your clients will respect you and your business will be taken serious.
