PROBLEMS & SOLUTIONS

Every appointment can be a series of problems and solutions and sometimes the only way to find a solution to a problem is with a little trial and error. If you’re dealing with any of these daily problems then we have a solution for you!

Problem: Your glue dot is drying out and under performing.

Solution: Replace your glue dot more frequently and shake the bottle every single time. Pay attention to your environment because some days may be more frequent than others.

Problem: Your volume fans are closing during placement.

Solution: Use less adhesive! Your adhesive is traveling up the lash during placement the same way jelly will run out of your PB&J if you use too much.

Problem: The glue dot is not staying as a glue dot— it spreads instead of “domes.”

Solution: Use a piece of paper tape under your glue dots. You can still use a jade stone along with the paper tape.

Problem: The under eye pads or tape move upward into the client’s eye.

Solution: Try placing your under eye pads/tape while your client’s eyes are closed. Manipulate the eyelid with your fingers during placement but this will ensure your client’s eye is in the correct position for lashing.

Problem: You are experiencing client no shows

Solutions: Enforce a cancellation policy, do not rebook without payment, and keep a card on file! Policies are so important.

Problem: Difficulty isolating because of smaller lashes growing between lashes

Solution: Instead of fighting the smaller more difficult lashes—lash them first. Once there’s a lash placed it makes isolating for the next lash easier.

Problem: Your client is sensitive to tape.

Solution: If you use tape in addition to eye pads for extra coverage, try using two pairs of eye pads. Place one focusing on the outer corner and the other overlapping to focus on the inner corner.

Problem: Reoccurring stickies

Solution: Go back and forth between the left and right eyes.  For even more sticky prevention, don’t lash directly next to the previously placed lash.

Problem: Your client’s head or neck is uncomfortable from laying flat

Solution: Support the neck! Use something as simple as a rolled up towel to add extra support and relieve pain.

Problem: After dipping into the adhesive you are left with a ball of built up adhesive on the lash/fan.

Solution: Dip slowly in AND out. If the lash already has a glue ball you can re dip slower to remove it.
