THE PERFECT CLIENT
As a full time lash artist AND a loyal paying lash client, I know all the tips and tricks to being “the perfect client.” It’s always important to educate our clients on aftercare and how they should treat their lashes after they leave their appointment, but I have picked up a few extra habits that I not only do personally, but I also recommend to clients that are looking to go the extra mile.
Aftercare Routine Having a proper aftercare routine is something that every client should be doing and not just the “extra” clients. My favorite way to clean my lashes is with our Lux Lash wash because it’s simple and it works! My favorite lashes to work on are clean lashes!
Shower Schedule If your anything like me, and only wash your hair every few days then you’ll understand when I say I like to schedule a “wash day” directly before a lash appointment. This is by no means necessary, but I know that if I shower and wash my hair the day of my appointment then I can easily go the full 24 hours without getting my eyelashes wet. clean hair and full lashes in one day, that is a win!
Make-up free I always tell my clients to come to their appointment without eye-make up on, but it’s even better to be 100% makeup free. I prefer a makeup free face so that the eye pads and tape adhere properly and I don’t have to worry about my hands wiping away their makeup. As a client, I either plan to wear zero makeup on lash appointment days or I bring my makeup remover and clean my face before my appointment. Call me over the top, but I know my lash artist appreciates it!
No Caffeine This can be a tough one, but I don’t drink any caffeine on the day of my lash appointment. This one probably depends on the client, but I can tell when a client has just had their morning coffee. If you struggle with a client being jittery—recommend that they go without caffeine until after their appointment. A bonus tip would be to have less liquids in general directly before an appointment to avoid a mid-appointment potty break!
Pre-Book I can’t help but love a client that pre-books their appointments and even better if they schedule out more than one appointment. As a lash-obsessed client I know that I need freshly filled eyelashes before vacations or events so I will always pre-book and plan ahead!
